The impact of artificial intelligence on physical education and sports performance: A revolutionizing transformation

Author(s): Radhey Shyam and Ramdas R Jadhav

Abstract:
Physical education and sports performance have undergone a radical change as a result of artificial intelligence (AI). The transition from standard techniques to intelligent, technology-assisted approaches has been facilitated by its integration, which has made data-driven education, individualized training, and real-time assessment of performance possible. Through motion analysis and digital assessment systems, artificial intelligence (AI) in physical education enables adaptive learning programs that meet the needs of each individual student, encourage inclusion, and offer unbiased feedback. Similar to this, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in sports, like computer vision, wearable technology, and predictive analytics, have improved training effectiveness, injury prevention, and strategic decision-making. With the use of technologies like goal-line technology and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), these developments not only enhance athletic performance but also guarantee accuracy and fairness. Ethical issues including data protection, accessibility, and the requirement for human supervision, however, continue to be significant obstacles. All things considered, artificial intelligence (AI) is a game-changing revolution that connects human potential with computer intellect. AI continues to influence the direction of sports science and education by transforming the teaching of physical education and the development of sports performance.
