Abstract:
This study aims to implement and determine the effectiveness of the barcode-based basic gymnastics floor movement learning model in improving the quality of the learning process of Phase D students of grade VII at SMP Negeri 13 Palembang. The background of the study stems from the low understanding of students on basic gymnastics floor movement techniques due to limited visual media and the dominance of conventional methods, so the barcode-based learning model was developed as an innovative solution to provide more interactive, independent learning, and in accordance with the development of digital technology. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study involved 30 students as subjects and collected data through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, which were analyzed descriptively through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the barcode-based learning model was able to increase the activeness, motivation, and understanding of students on forward rolls, backward rolls, bridges, candle positions, and cartwheels, where 85% of students gave positive responses and teacher observations showed an increase in student engagement during learning. Thus, the barcode-based basic gymnastics floor movement learning model was declared effective in Physical Education learning because it was able to create a more active, innovative learning atmosphere, and in accordance with the characteristics of digital generation students.
