Effects of selected yoga practice on motor fitness variables on badminton player’s

Abstract:The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of selected yoga practices on the motor fitness variables of badminton players aged 18 to 25 years, residing in Almora, Uttarakhand. The research employed an experimental design involving 30 badminton players (both male and female). The study assessed several motor fitness variables, including flexibility, muscular strength agility, strength. Data were collected before and after a 6-weeks training period. The players followed a yoga program specifically designed to enhance flexibility, explosive leg strength, agility with the expectation that these factors would improve overall badminton performance. The results revealed significant improvements in flexibility, balance, and muscular endurance in the players. The findings suggest that while selected yogic exercises effectively enhance motor fitness parameters crucial for badminton performance. The study highlights the value of integrating yoga into regular training regimens for athletes to improve flexibility, strength, and agility.
