The relationship between motor skills, concentration levels, and self-efficacy on the football playing ability of football extracurricular participants in high schools in the Tanjungpandan district

Abstract:This study aims to determine the relationship between motor skills, concentration levels, and self-efficacy with soccer playing skills among high school extracurricular soccer participants in Tanjungpandan District. This study is a correlational study. The sample in this study consisted of 129 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection methods used tests and questionnaires. The Motor Skills Test from Barrow, with a validity of 0.87 and reliability of 0.93, concentration using GCT, with a validity of 0.87 and reliability of 0.96, self-efficacy test using GSE, with a reliability of 0.70, and GPAI test from Memmert and Harvey. The data analysis technique used correlation analysis. The analysis results showed that there was a significant relationship between motor skills with a contribution of 21.98%, concentration with a contribution of 19.16%, and self-efficacy with a contribution of 32.96% to soccer playing skills. Simultaneously, these three variables are significantly related to soccer playing skills with an effective contribution of 74.10%. The better the motor skills, concentration, and self-efficacy, the better the level of soccer playing skills.
