Author(s): Nabil Althof and Wawan S Suherman

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the level of motivation among students in the Physical Education and Health Education Program in participating in the Cricket Student Activity Unit (UKM) at Jambi University. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The sample consists of 20 active members of the Cricket UKM selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used is a Likert scale questionnaire with two main aspects: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The results of the study indicate that student motivation falls into the moderate category (50%), with 40% showing moderate intrinsic motivation and 40% showing moderate extrinsic motivation. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening both internal and external motivational factors to support sustained participation in UKM activities.
