Intervention of standing postures for healthy life: A systematic review

Abstract:This systematic review delves into the examination of standing postures as an intervention for promoting a healthy lifestyle. The authors systematically analyzed the Scopus, Research Gate, web of science, and Google Scholar databases to identify studies primarily focused on tadasana and vrikshasana. The findings from the literature suggest that yoga serves as a versatile and effective tool for enhancing overall well-being. The study emphasizes the significance of integrating yoga into fitness routines to achieve a comprehensive and balanced approach to health. In essence, the review underscores the holistic advantages of yoga, positioning it as a valuable complement to traditional physical fitness regimens.
The abstract further explores the scientific validation of yoga's benefits, particularly in relation to overall well-being encompassing physical, mental, and social dimensions. Emphasizing yoga as a mind-body therapy, it highlights its influence on the vestibular system and positional awareness. Originating from the Sanskrit term "Yuj," symbolizing union, yoga is portrayed as a means of connecting individual and universal awareness, fostering spiritual development, and facilitating blissful connection with a supreme power.
