Abstract:
Education is essential for realizing human potential, creating an egalitarian society, and promoting national growth. Designed to modernize and transform the educational system, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India offers a thorough framework. It implements a number of changes to ensure that education becomes more inclusive, adaptable, and relevant to the requirements of the twenty-first century. Emphasizing experiential learning as a major component of changing the educational scene, India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Experiential learning is based on the idea that kids learn best via real-world application and active engagement rather than by means of rote memorization. The experiential approach is more relevant in the challenging and competitive learning environment of today and has demonstrated worth. This method inspires teachers and students to welcome variety in the classroom. Consequently, this approach encourages learning through doing, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and real-world experience. Additionally, it allows for a deep interaction with the curriculum. NEP 2020 intends to give kids a useful and thorough education so they would be ready for the future. Based on NEP 2020, the research will highlight the importance of experiential learning in teaching and learning. It therefore advised that "pedagogy must evolve to make education more experiential, holistic, integrated, inquiry-based, competency-based, discussion-based, flexible and learner-centred."
