Exploring the synergistic effects of HIIT and visual training on performance attributes in basketball players

Abstract:The point of this study was to look at how High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and visual training affect basketball players' success in certain ways, both on their own and when they are used together. There were 60 male basketball players, ages 17 to 21, who were randomly split into three groups of 20 each: Group I did HIIT along with visual training, Group II did HIIT only, and Group III was the control group and kept up with their normal training schedules. The intervention ran for six weeks, and training sessions were held three times a week. Standardized field tests were used to measure performance factors before and after the intervention. These variables included shooting accuracy, coordination, agility, and reaction time. In ANCOVA statistical analysis, both experimental groups did significantly better than the control (p<0.05), with Group I (HIIT + Visual Training) showing the most noticeable changes in all variables. The results support the idea that combining visual training with high intensity interval training (HIIT) can help basketball players do better. This is because the two types of training work well together to improve both physical and perceptual-cognitive aspects that are important for game success.
