Assessment of the current state of overhead passing technique among second-year male students specializing in volleyball at Da Nang University of physical education and sports

Abstract:This assessment focuses on the current state of the overhead passing technique among male students specializing in competitive volleyball. Volleyball is a combination of various positions of fundamental techniques, such as serving, receiving, passing, and blocking, which create a tactical system for competition. Among these fundamental techniques, passing is the final step in executing a dynamic strategy. Passing is a crucial technique for organizing attacks and serves as a direct link between defense and offense. The task of this technique is to create the best conditions for the attacking player to complete the spike by executing various types of passes such as: Quick passing, powerful passing, accurate passing, jump passing, always varying the length of the pass, the range of the ball, the direction of movement, and combining with feints. To execute effective passing that yields high results for a strategy, the setter must possess skilled techniques, proficient movements, long-term training to become an expert, excellent physical fitness, and a strong competitive mindset.
