Author(s): Muhammad Fikri Arrasyid, Dimyati and Yuyun Ari Wibowo

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the level of anxiety of UKM Cricket athletes at Jambi University in facing the match and identify the factors that influence it. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method on 20 athletes selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is a questionnaire based on Stuart's theory (2006) which has been validated by experts and tested for reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.837. The results showed that 50% of athletes had low levels of anxiety, 30% very low, 15% moderate, and 5% high. These findings indicate the importance of a psychological approach in athlete training to improve performance in competition.
