Analysis of athlete motivation factors and environmental support in facing competitions in sports kick boxing jambi city

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, environmental support, and athlete satisfaction in facing matches in the Sports Branch. Kick Boxing in Jambi City. The main focus of this study is to identify factors that influence the readiness and performance of athletes facing competition. Motivational variables are divided into intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, which affects the extent to which athletes are motivated to train and compete. In addition, this study also explores the role of environmental support, including support from family and peers, and how these external factors can strengthen athlete motivation. This study is a quantitative descriptive study using two variables. The sample used in this study were athletes Kick boxing Jambi City. Researchers use the purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. To analyze the collected data, the researcher used a quantitative descriptive technique with a percentage. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the motivational factors of kick boxing athletes in facing matches in the sport kick boxing are balanced between very good and less good with a frequency of3 or 27.3% each. Motivational factors in facing sports competitions kick boxing which are categorized as good and sufficient with a value of 2 or 18.2% and very poor 1 or athlete or 9.1%. Environmental support in facing the match in the sport of kick boxing in Jambi City is good with a frequency consideration of 3 with a percentage of 27.3% and in the very good category with a frequency of 2 from a total of 11 respondents with a percentage of 18.2%. Environmental support in facing the match in the sport of kick boxing in Jambi City in the sufficient category is 3 out of 11 respondents, the less category with the sufficient category is 3 with a frequency of 27.3%. Thus, the combination of intrinsic motivation and strong environmental support can increase the chances of achievement of kick boxing athletes in Jambi City.
