Abstract:This study aimed to examine the fair play behaviors of secondary school football players in Ankara in relation to variables such as age, duration of physical activity, possession of a sports license, family income level, and parental education. Using a quantitative general survey model, data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 250 students (mean age: 14.81±1.71). The “Physical Education Fair Play Scale,” adapted into Turkish by Mirzeoğlu (2015), was used as the data collection tool. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analyses were conducted. Findings showed that fair play behaviors before competition increased with age and longer exposure to sports environments. Interestingly, students without a sports license had higher fair play perceptions. Parental education had limited impact, and no significant difference was found based on family income. These results highlight the need to promote fair play values early and explore socio-demographic influences more deeply.
