Effect of rigid tape on gait in patients with plantar fasciitis

Abstract: Background: Plantar fasciitis is a prevalent foot condition that impacts approximately 10% of individuals at some point in their lives, with a higher incidence observed in women compared to men. Rigid taping, which is a tan-colored adhesive strip, is predominantly utilized by athletes to prevent or mitigate the risk of injury. Objective: To determine the effects of Rigid Taping in subjects with Plantar Fasciitis. Method: Subject sitting with foot and lower 3rd of the leg-off the bed. Foot in neutral or dorsiflexion and neutral with respect to supination/pronation. Apply anchor at Lower 3rd of the leg. Conclusion:- In short, the application of Rigid-Tape in patients in plantar fasciitis due to various reasons have significant effect in activities of daily living and improves the function of plantar fascia.
