Abstract:
Method: The total numbers of 80 subjects (20 each from Boxing, Judo, Karate & Wrestling) were selected from different districts of Chhattisgarh. The age group ranged between 18 to 25 years. who were attend the national level tournaments. When selecting variables, the literature, expert opinion, testing facilities, availability of equipment, etc. were taken into consideration. The Hematological variables RBC, WBC, Hemoglobin and Platelets were taken into consideration. The data was collected for each variable. The blood samples were collected and tested in the pathology laboratory. All the selected Hematological variables i.e. RBC, WBC, Hemoglobin, Platelets were tested on the basis of latest technology adopted by pathology laboratories. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to evaluate selected hematological variables among the different Combative Sports. If the F value was found to be significant, post hoc LSD (least significant difference) tests were used to examine the direction and degree of difference. For testing the hypotheses, the level of significance was set at 0.05. The reported mean scores S.D. of red blood cell in relation to national level boxing is 4.88 and .33. The mean scores and S.D. of red blood cell in relation to national level judo is 4.96 and .45. The mean and S.D. of red blood cell in relation to national level karate is 4.93 and .33. The mean and S.D. of red blood cell in relation to national level wrestling is 4.89 and .41. The result of the study reveals that there was an insignificant difference in the mean score of Hemoglobin among Selected national level selected boxing, judo, karate and wrestling players. The reported mean scores and S.D. of hemoglobin in relation to national level boxing is 14.50 and .70. The mean and S.D. of hemoglobin in relation to national level judo is 14.62 and .76. The mean and S.D. of hemoglobin in relation to national level karate is 14.65 and .75. The mean and S.D. of hemoglobin in relation to national level wrestling is 14.55 and .76.
The result of the study reveals that there was an insignificant difference in the mean score of Platelets among Selected national level selected boxing, judo, karate and wrestling players. The reported mean and S.D. of platelets in relation to national level boxing is 3.17 and .65. The mean and S.D. of platelets in relation to national level judo is 2.79 and .68. The mean and S.D. of platelets in relation to national level karate is 2.88 and .67. The mean and S.D. of platelets in relation to national level wrestling is 2.83 and .60.
