Abstract:This study aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of muscular strength, specifically back and leg strength as well as hand grip strength (left and right), among sepak takraw, football and hockey players. The study was conducted on 90 male intercollegiate players (n=90), comprising 30 sepak takraw players (n = 30), 30 football players (n = 30), and 30 hockey players (n = 30) with an age range of 19-25 years. A simple random sampling method is used in this study. To measure back and leg strength, as well as hand grip strength (left and right), a back and leg dynamometer and a hand grip dynamometer were used, respectively. To determine significant differences among players, One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied using SPSS. To test this hypothesis, the level of significance was set at 0.05. Based on the findings of this study, insignificant differences were found in back and leg strength, as well as hand grip strength (left and right) among sepak takraw, football and hockey players. Furthermore, football players demonstrated better performance than both sepak takraw and hockey players in terms of back and leg strength, while hockey players outperformed both football and sepak takraw players in hand grip strength (left and right) on a mean basis.
