Abstract:The study's goal was to find out how yoga affected a few respiratory parameters in healthy practitioners. The mind and body are integrated through regular yoga practice. Its effects on respiratory functions are just one of many systemic psychophysical effects it produces in the body. To ensure everyone is healthy, a total of twenty female subjects were chosen at random from Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior District to complete the study with age group 21-25 years. For nine weeks, they were encouraged to engage in an hour-long yoga practice every day. At the start of their course, the initial stage of recording the respiratory parameters {MVV (Minute Volume Ventilation) and FVC (Forced Vital Capacity)} was completed. Nine weeks into the regular yoga practice, the second recording phase was completed. The student's data was analysed using Paired T-test. All of the aforementioned lung parameters increased statistically significantly in the regular yoga practitioners. According to this study, regular yoga practice can enhance physical fitness and overall wellbeing in a number of ways.
