Abstract:Hamstring flexibility is a crucial factor influencing lower-limb biomechanics, injury prevention, and overall football performance. This study aims to examine the association between hamstring flexibility and shooting ability among football players in Vadodara. Limited hamstring flexibility may restrict range of motion, affecting shooting power, agility, accuracy, and increasing injury susceptibility. A total of 75 participants were assessed using the Sit-and-Reach Test to measure hamstring flexibility and the McDonald Soccer Shooting Test to evaluate shooting performance. By analyzing the correlation between these variables, this study provides valuable insights into the role of flexibility in optimizing shooting efficiency. The findings will contribute to the development of targeted training interventions to improve flexibility, enhance shooting mechanics, and minimize injury risks, ultimately optimizing player performance in competitive football. This study result shows mild to moderate association between the hamstring flexibility & shooting association with Pearson correlation formula & value is r (df)= 0.428.
