Impact of northeast India professional footballers in the Indian super league

Abstract:The study analyzed the performance contribution of Indian professional footballers from the northeast playing in Indian Super League matches. The year-wise performance analysis of assists and goals was considered from seasons 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 & 2023-24. Data was collected through various online repositories such as the official website of the Indian Super League, websites of various professional football clubs of India, Print media, online media, and newspapers. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data and the results were graphically represented. We have concluded that Northeast Indian footballers average 28.4 assists and 29 goals per season for the past 10 ISL seasons.
