Abstract:The Olympic Games represent a momentous global platform where nations compete not only for athletic pursuit but for the international prestige each country holds. It is a platform where nations from all over the world convene and contend despite their current economic prowess. Through the lens of Olympia Index Metrics this study presents an evaluation on the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic performance of the top five major economies leading countries, which is USA, China, Japan, Germany, and India. Moving beyond the traditional focus on medal counts, the Olympia Index offers broader metrics to provide a more thorough and balanced assessment of national performance at the Olympics. By examining the outcomes of major economic countries, the study identifies patterns of disparity and achievement, shedding light on the impact of economic capability, sports investment, and national strategies on Olympic success. The findings also add to a better understanding of global sports dynamics as well as the complex relationship between economic strength and international athletic achievement.
