Abstract: This study explores the role of health and wellness clubs in promoting exercise motivation among urban women, focusing on how age influences their motivations. The findings reveal that maintaining good health and managing stress were the top priorities across all age groups, although their significance slightly decreased with age. For women aged 31-40, health and stress management were the most important motivators, while older groups (41-50 and 50+) showed a shift toward overall well-being and health maintenance, moving away from appearance-based goals like staying slim or avoiding ill-health. The study also highlights the importance of designing exercise programs that cater to these evolving motivations, as older women may prioritize psychological well-being and long-term health over physical appearance or competition. The significant role of health clubs in enhancing exercise motivation for urban women is underscored, with the potential to positively impact public health in urban environments.
