A prevalence study of perceived stress between male badminton players and male tennis players of Rajasthan University

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to compare the perceived stress of Rajasthan University male hockey players and male tennis players. There were 30 University level male hockey players and 30 male tennis players were selected as subjects for this study. Purposive sampling technique was used to conducting for this study. The sample for the study was selected from sports complex in Rajasthan University, Jaipur. A standard psychological questionnaire perceived stress scale developed by Sheldon Cohen was used to measure perceived stress. To check the difference in the level of perceived stress, an independent sample "t" test was used to compare perceived stress between hockey and tennis male players. The significance level was set at 0.05. The results of this study show that there was no significant difference between hockey and tennis male players in terms of perceived stress.
