Management of perfomance development of pencak silat athletes at bangka District Training Center 2023

Abstract:Achievement coaching management is frequently regarded as a standard practice that does not necessitate further action. Many sports athletes, particularly those engaged in pencak silat, are unable to achieve their full potential due to the lack of recognition by local governments of the significance of achievement coaching management. This study aims to elucidate the management of achievement coaching for pencak silat athletes at the Bangka Regency training center.
This study employs a quantitative descriptive research design. The research population consisted of 72 individuals, comprising the management team at Bangka KONI, coaches, and athletes. The sampling technique employed in this study was purposive sampling. The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) willingness to participate as a sample, (2) adult athletes aged 17-35 years, and (3) adult Pencak Silat athlete trainers. Based on these criteria, 40 athletes were selected. The instrument utilized in this study was a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive percentage.
The findings of this study indicate that the management of coaching pencak silat athletes' achievements at the Bangka Regency training camp encompasses a comprehensive range of activitie. The results indicate that the management of coaching the achievements of pencak silat athletes in the Bangka Regency training camp is in the "excellent" category for all five areas: planning (72.50%), organizing (62.50%), controlling (52.50%), evaluating (52.50%), and budgeting (50.00%).
