Abstract:This study investigated the effect of Hatha yoga on the systolic blood pressure of adults with elevated blood pressure. For this investigation fifty adults were selected and were divided into experimental group (Hatha yoga) and control groups. Pre test was administered to both the groups to check their systolic blood pressure. The Hatha yoga group engaged in twelve weeks of yoga practice and the control group did not involve in any type of training. After twelve weeks of yoga training, post test was conducted to both the groups to check their systolic blood pressure. The result revealed that there was significant reduction in the blood pressure of Hatha yoga group compared to control group. This finding suggests that Hatah yoga can be a useful therapy for reducing systolic blood pressure of adults.
