Effect of drinking caffeine in the coffee towards the senior swimming athletes of men’s 100 meters freestyle

Abstract:
This study aims to: Find out whether or not there is an effect of giving caffeine in coffee doses of 150 mg and 200 mg on the speed and heart rate of men's 100 m freestyle swimming. This research is quantitative research, the research method used is a quasi-experimental method or direct survey. The research population was JAQ swimming athletes. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 15 athletes. Instrument of the influence of caffeine in coffee on heart rate and speed. The results of the study showed the effect of caffeine in doses of 150 mg and 200 mg of coffee in a period of 60 seconds, on the speed and heart rate of 100m freestyle swimmers: (1) Dose of 150 at a speed with a difference of 0.91 seconds, a percentage of 1.06% (2) 150 mg dose on heart rate with a difference of 11 heart beats, percentage 0.71%. (3) A dose of 200 mg for speed with a difference of 0.78 seconds has a percentage of 2.38% (4) A dose of 200 mg for heart rate with a difference of 11 heart beats has a percentage of 1.32%.
