Abstract:
Nutrition is essential in fulfilling athlete nutrition; good nutrition contains protein, vitamins, and minerals for energy and builders that will repair and replace damaged cells. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of cavendish banana consumption on football athletes' Heart Rate Monitor (HRM). The research design is pre-experiment two group pretest-posttest. Instrument adopted Heart Rate Monitor (HRM). Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of athletes who consume bananas and those who do not consume bananas and independent t-tests to determine whether the effectiveness of the two groups is a significant difference or not. The normality test significance value> 0.05 results means the data obtained is not normally distributed. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed athletes without banana consumption were 0.043 while athletes who consume bananas were 0.000; the results of the independent t-tests test are not significant, showing a value of more than 0.05. The conclusion of the research findings on the relationship between cavendish banana consumption and athletes' pulse rate concluded that there was no significant relationship between groups.
