Perceptions of aggressive behavior in sports: A study on university students
Author(s): Azra Fayaz and Arif Ahmad Pahloo
Abstract:The purpose of this study was to examine the perception that aggressive behavior is sometimes necessary to intimidate opponents and gain a competitive edge in sports. Data was collected using a questionnaire distributed via email, self-questionnaire, and social media. The sample consisted of university students aged 21-32 years. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. The mean response was 3.46, indicating that students were partially in agreement with the statement. This suggests that while some students believe aggressive behavior can be advantageous in sports, the consensus is not unanimous. Further research is recommended to explore this area in greater depth.
