Comparison of shoulder flexibility and eye-hand co-ordination between intercollegiate softball and badminton women players

Abstract:Purpose of the study is to identify the shoulder flexibility and hand eye co-ordination of intercollegiate level softball and badminton women players. Eighteen softball players and same number of badminton players who played inter collegiate tournaments were the subjects for the study. To measure shoulder flexibility and hand eye coordination the shoulder flexibility test and hand eye coordination tests were administered respectively. The collected data were analysed in the SPSS platform by using descriptive statistics and an independent sample t-test was employed. The level of significance is set at 0.05. The results found that there was no significant difference in shoulder flexibility between badminton and softball women players as p value is 0.2301. Similarly, there was an insignificant difference found in hand eye coordination between badminton and softball players as the p value is 0.339. Thus, it can be concluded that insignificant difference between badminton and softball intercollegiate women players in their shoulder flexibility and hand eye coordination.
