A Study of Coordinative Abilities and Explosive Leg Strength of Indian Volleyball Players at Different Levels of Participation
Author(s): Sharad Chaudhary
Abstract:This study examines the development of coordinative abilities and explosive leg strength in Indian volleyball players at different levels of participation: Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior. A total of 90 male subjects were selected, with 30 players in each age group. Coordinative abilities were measured using a hexagon agility test and a ball reaction exercise test. Explosive leg strength was assessed with a vertical jump test. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results show a significant difference among the three groups for all tested variables, with senior players demonstrating superior performance. The findings indicate that these key physical attributes improve with age, training, and competitive experience.
