Assessing the Changes in Back and Leg Flexibility in Sedentary Women after a Six-Week Pawanmuktasana Training Intervention
Author(s): Sharad Chaudhary
Abstract:The present study aimed to examine the effect of a modified series of Pawanmuktasana on improving back and leg flexibility among sedentary women. Twenty participants, aged 4555 years and residing in Saharanpur (U.P., India), were randomly selected and equally divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group underwent a six-week training program (six days per week), while the control group received no intervention. Pre- and post-tests were administered to both groups. Results revealed no significant change in the control group; however, the experimental group showed significant improvement in both back and leg flexibility. These findings suggest that regular practice of the modified Pawanmuktasana series is beneficial for sedentary women.
