A comparative study on strength ability between rural and urban college going students

Abstract:The primary objective of the study is to find out the strength of rural and urban students and to determine the strength level among rural and urban students. 150 rural and 150 urban collegiate student from B.V.R.I. Bichpuri Agra. The subjects were free of smoking, alcohol and caffeine consumption, antioxidant supplementation and drugs during the programs. The age, height, weight and strength of all subjects were measured in physical education department. The result reveals a statistically significant difference of pull ups (p<0.05) between rural and urban collegiate students. However, the result reveals a statistically significant difference of sit-ups (p<0.05) and right hand grip was found between rural and urban collegiate students. The result of present study showed that strength was better in rural student.
