Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship of boldness behavioral attitude with socio-economic status of basketball players. For this purpose researcher has selected twenty (20) basketball players from Rajarshee Shahu Science College, Chandur Railway, Amravati who has participated intercollegiate tournament of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. Basketball players were selected with the help of purposive sampling methods.The data pertaining to socio-economic status of tribal footballers was collected though standard questionnaire ‘Socio economic status’ developed by R. Singh, R. Shyam and S. Kumar. The Socio-economic status questionnaire contains 25 items. The data pertaining to boldness behavioral attitude of tribal footballers was collected through Multi Assessment Personality Series (MAPS) Questionnaire prepared by Sanjay Vohra. Statistical analysis was done on the basis of Pearson product moment correlation at 0.05 level of significance. Result of the study shows that the relationship of boldness behavioral attitude with socio-economic status of basketball players was found to be significant as the obtained value (‘r’ = 0.519) is greater than the tabulated ‘r’ value (0.433). Whereas, the relationship was found moderate positive. From the present study it can be concluded that the relationship of boldness behavioral attitude with socio-economic status of basketball players was found to be significant and moderate positive. It may be attributed that the socio-economic status of basketball players positively affects boldness behavior, as we know that the living standard of an individual directly affect their behaviour.
