A comparative study on the personality traits among handball players of Kalaburagi division at different levels of performance

Abstract:The present study aims to explore the Personality traits among Handball players of Kalaburagi division at different levels of performance. To achieve the purpose of the study150 Handball players of Kalaburagi, Ballary, Raichur, Koppal, Bidar and Yadgir districts of Kalaburagi Division in the Karnataka State were selected from different levels of performance and participation. The Catell’s 16 PF Form C Questionnaire was used to measure the personality traits of Handball players.
The results shown significant differences among Handball players at different levels of performance on personality trait factor A. The gender of Handball players have significantly differential effects on personality traits of Handball players at different levels of performance on factors of reserved, detached, outgoing, warm hearted. There are significant differences in personality traits among first born and later born Handball players. Also there were significant differences in personality traits between the joint family and nuclear family Handball players at different levels of performance on factors of reserved, detached, outgoing, warm hearted.
