Author(s): S Somasundarmoorthy
Abstract:The purpose of this study is to compare some physiological factors among collegiate-level football, basketball, and handball players. 60 male athletes were chosen from the intercollegiate level for this investigation. Twenty male handball, twenty male basketball, and twenty male football players from different districts in Tamil Nadu who were between the ages of 19 and 25 were selected for the study. Football, basketball, and handball players' breath holding times were evaluated using the nose clip method test and their pulse rates were evaluated using a pulse oximeter. The study's findings indicate that, in comparison to basketball players, handball and football players had very good pulse rates and breath-holding times. To improve performance, it is advised that football, basketball, and handball players be provided adequate breath holding time and pulse rate.
